Stephen Ministry is a Christian care-giving ministry that provides one-to-one care to meet the needs of people who are experiencing life’s challenges or difficulties such as illness, divorce, grief, financial set-backs, loneliness, despair, childbirth ……..

What does a Stephen Minister do?

• Offers Christian friendship and love
• Listens
• Keeps confidences
• Encourages
• Prays
• Offer’s love through a Christian caring relationship on a one-to-one basis

Expectations of a Stephen Minister:

• 24-month commitment of service to the program.
• Attendance and participation in the 50-hour training program.
• On-going
• Continuing Education and twice monthly supervision meetings

Stephen Ministers are not:

• A counselor or therapist
• A problem solver
• A casual visitor
