Hospitality is an integral part of worship. The liturgical documents proclaim that the first part of the liturgy, up until the First Scripture reading, is intended to form the assembly into one unified worshipping community and to prepare to hear the Scriptures. Friendly faces and a warm greeting at the church doors promotes this sense of making all feel welcomed so that we might enter into worship as one unified body.
This is a ministry that entire families may work together in.
