Facts and Questions

Who are your priests?
Fr. David Blue Jacket is our Pastor and Fr. Shaji (Jacob) Thomas is our Associate Pastor.

What is a stewardship parish?
We, the family of Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, believe that Stewardship is our grateful and obedient response to God’s redeeming love. Stewardship requires responsible return to God from our resources of time, talent, and treasure.

Are you a charismatic parish?
We believe Spirit of Christ is a very "Spirit filled" parish, but not charismatic.

What is your religious education for children?
Spirit of Christ has Lectionary-Based Catechesis (LBC). This process is the primary religious formation for children from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Children are dismissed from the worship space before the Mass begins and return to join their families at the Offertory. While the adults are listening to the readings and the homily, the children are doing the same, but at their level of understanding. We also offer a pre-school program, and for our special needs children we have a program called All God’s Children. These programs run year round.

What do you offer for teens?
Spirit of Christ has a very active Life Teen Program. The Life Teen Mass is Sunday night at 5:00 pm. Life night follows immediately after Mass. Teens 9th grade thru 12th grade are invited to attend. 7th and 8th graders are invited to "The Edge" on Monday nights.
