Fellowship and Wellness Ministries represent a collection of adult ministries which strive to address a wide range of needs within the church family - from young adults to seniors, from those who grieve to those who dance: each ministry gathers a particular group of people who share common interests and/or experiences. Our goal is to bring people together to build relationships and foster support from others within the Family of God.
Knights of Columbus has a chapter at Spirit of Christ and meets with the Justice and Peace Ministry. They are active in parish events as well as with the mission of the Knight of Columbus on a state and national basis.
K of C Ladies Auxiliary has a chapter at Spirit of Christ and meets with the Justice an Peace Ministry. They are active in parish events as well as with the mission of the Knights of Columbus.
Boy Scouts: Local Boy Scout Troop 7 meets at 7pm on Tuesday nights in the John the XXIII center.
Catholic Parents & Families Connection is an outreach ministry for parents and families of gays and lesbians. We come to share our story at our monthly meeting. For more information call Mark and Mary Lou at 303-463-0706.
Exercise in the Spirit: This is free exercise classes in a friendly relaxed atmosphere offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Our bodies are the temple of the Lord and we should strive to keep them in the best shape possible. We also have a Friday morning Yoga class offered October through May.
Grief Support Group meets for 4 weeks sessions in a very safe, confidential setting here at the church that allows you to share with others who are also grieving the loss of a loved one. These sessions are offered 4 times per year.
MS Support Group: A support group for those who have multiple sclerosis, their family or friends. This group meets the first and third Saturdays of the month.
Prevention: This ministry concentrates on health education and on how to prevent physical illness from occurring. We are a host site for 9Health Fair each April and in the fall we give flu shots. We also have blood drives a few times a year as well as donor awareness.
Spiritual Survivors: This is a highly confidential ministry that deals with sexual abuse, one of life’s most traumatic events that affects not only the victim, but their family and friends. If you are a survivor of sexual abuse, we invite you to join us as we share our stories and pain and discover God’s Mercy and Love.For more information and a contact number please call the parish office.
Stephen Ministry is a Christian care-giving ministry that provides one-to-one care to meet the needs of people who are experiencing life’s challenges or difficulties such as illness, divorce, grief, financial set-backs, loneliness, despair, childbirth. Stephen Ministry is for the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of each person. Please call the parish office.
WINGS (Widows In Need of Growth Support): WINGS is a group of women who all have experienced the loss of a husband. They meet the first Monday of each month September through June. the 3rd Monday of the month they meet for lunch at various local restaurants. They have speakers, entertainment or cards & games at their monthly meetings as well as a summer picnic.
Familia: Familia is a program for parents to enrich their Catholic faith for the benefit of the entire family and especially the marriage. Meetings for Moms are held every other Friday morning from September through May. Babysitting is available.
Young at Heart: A Senior Group (55+) who each month offers a variety of activities to provide spiritual growth, fellowship, recreation and support for those in need. Activities are listed in each Sunday Bulletin.
